The majority of people will have heard of Citizens Advice for one reason or another, but did you know Citizens Advice is actually a charity? Citizens Advice is a UK wide organisation consisting of separate Citizens Advice units all across the country. Each of these units functions as its own charitable organisation that is responsible for their own funding.
Citizens Advice offers long term volunteering opportunities for people who wish to deliver specialist advice and welcomes any funding or promotional help.
22,000 highly trained volunteers support the delivery of the service Citizens Advice provide. Their volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and ways of life and find volunteering with CA to be rewarding, challenging and fun.
Citizens Advice deliver advice on a range of subjects, including benefits, work, debt, money, consumers, family, housing, law and courts, immigration, health and many more.

In 2017 and 18, Citizens Advice helped 2.6 million people and had over 25 million visits. In the same timeframe, the advice they gave directly saved government and public services more than £435million. That’s around £2 saved for every £1 spent on Citizens Advice service.
