Innovative ride-on toy company smarTrike are seeking charities in need of bike donations. Charities concerned with helping children with disabilities and/or families in need who would benefit from such a donation should contact whatCharity. For more on what’s on offer, read on.
Who is smarTrike?
smarTrike is a globally recognised and award winning brand that is reinventing active play by creating the world’s most innovative and technologically advanced trikes, bikes, scooters and ride-on toys that encourage a physically active childhood. Our innovative designs and technologies include key developmental features so kids can discover and gain new skills through exploration and adventure, all while keeping parent comfort in mind. smarTrike’s purpose is to encourage families to be a part of this learning experience and to create sustainable products that grow with them through the years.
How did the idea for the product come about?
smarTrike came about from the founder’s desire to create a product that aided in the development of children’s motoric skills while still being fun and practical. It was this dream that led them to design the first ever “smart” trike that was able to grow with children in age and size, while offering engaging, developmental features. The bonus? It empowered parents to feel they were making every outing an adventure. This trike’s concept was their first “grow with me” product that would continue to lead them to introduce revolutionary baby and toy products all within the same “smart” model.
What is on offer?
smarTrike is looking to make a “mass” donation of between 100-200 tricycles and other ride-on toys to organisations that can distribute to families whose disabled children can benefit, thrive and have fun from its use and developmental features. There will be a mix of items (colours, styles, etc. See here for a look at the current styles available – however there is no guarantee which of these items you will receive) and most products are aimed for children from ages 15 months to 3 years.
Have you donated to charities before?
smarTrike is often donating to physical therapy and special needs centres/organisations on case by case bases, as well as recently we made a large scale donation to the well-recognised nonprofit, Baby2Baby based in Los Angeles, USA.
How will charities receive the bikes?
We will ship them via courier on pallets due to the size of the donation. There must be ample storage space for this type of delivery.
Applications for this donation have now closed.
